smiling?

this picture was supposed to be on yesterdays post but, well, y'know -
just didnt work out.
Anyhow, yesterday, I was looking at this elephant wondering if those
were smile lines?
shortly after the picture was taken she turned and chased us down the
track so i guess not?

She definitely looks like smiling! And who knows, perhaps this chasing was her idea of a fun day? Lovely close-up photo. I so wish I could listen to what elephants talk among themselves. And my ducks! But what would I get to hear?

What ever they're from, she's beautiful, if a little grumpy!

Elephants are my absolute favourite animals and I am hoping to fulfill my dream of seeing one in its natural habitat when I go to Kenya in a few weeks. LOVE the pic ... and the snippet of your little adventure.

Perhaps she smiles when she finds someone with whom she can play tag!

Elephants are the most amazing creatures. I adore them.

Perhasp she was smiling until she saw you were near. Such a great shot. How did you ever get that close?

Ellie is adorable...she looks like she might be hard to outrun though. An elephant breathing down my neck might make me a bit nervous.....

She's a beauty, great shot Val. I believe she was smiling even as she charged (mock?) at you. Oh i know I would be smiling right along with her! exciting.

I agree - it's a lot easier to smile when there's someone with whom to play.

I have just found you thanks to Wonderful World. I have seen much of Africa from Algiers to the Cape, but never made it to Chobe sadly. I would still like to go there but costs...... The closest I got, is Wankie to the East and Francistown and Gabs to the South.
Love this picture, I will be back. Diane
