magical moment

Its getting late and I've written thousands of words today - or 'southands' as some people would say.
This NaNoWriMo thing has taken over my brain - fun though it is - its a froggy leap of faith

so i thought we would nip away together to a special place where the sea is like warm silk and the fish jump out of the water and steal your sunglasses

we could go by boat - on the magnificent Dhow Jones. Her well worn timbers creak and moan when she is under way - its like she is talking to you or singing a wooden sea shanty

and then we could wish on stars!

Lovely shots and captions. Your brief posts are as eloquent as your longer ones!

me again . . . just read the C.S. Lewis quote in your side bar as I was signing out. Wow - I love it!! Somehow I had never come across it and it really speaks to a certain period of my life. Thank you.

I'm so glad you're taking that leap! (my FB status earlier this week: It's never too late to shoot for the stars, regardless of who you are ~~~~ Nickelback ~~)

Of frogs ---- did you know most girls have to kiss way too many frogs before they find their prince???

hi Lizzy - thanks for the encouragement! that boardwalk is a favourite. this was taken at spring equinox when the tide was especially high.

Lakeviewer - thanks!

Bonnie - thank you and that quote is great isnt it? and so very true!

Lyn - then you would love mozambique. the star fish come in all variations of bright dayglo colours - and the sea is clear as jello - looks like you can walk on it

Janet - yes i saw that one - excellent. should write it on my screen :-)
its true about the frog thing :-) it can be fun though... this one is a cutie - can only be a prince

Miranda - yesterday was a wordathon of note! yeah those fish are cheeky, they dazzle you with their silver blingness and then bam! hehe

Dear Val, I bow my head in admiration! And I LOVE your posts, your pictures and your words and your comments! I can sign each of the comments I read. I also LOVE the C.S.Lewis quote (love his books, too). This one is especially fitting to the Great Celebration that Germany is going to have tomorrow - the tumbling of the WALL. I`ll write my next post about it. Thank you so much for taking the time to write me such a lovely comment, too. And now run back and create more scenes and characters, and don`t forget to mention the jumping fish with newly stolen sunglasses on!

A leap of faith. A leap of reason. Launched into the air, the uncertain balance makes for a dizzying feel, at once thrilling and satisfying.

So, good luck.

I'm just catching up on your wonderful postings and photos. Congratulations to you!

I love this one and the other story about the dog who was so loyal to his human friend...Sometimes I think humans could take a lesson or two from the animals.

Happy Blogging!
