Its getting late and I've written thousands of words today - or 'southands' as some people would say.
This NaNoWriMo thing has taken over my brain - fun though it is - its a froggy leap of faith
so i thought we would nip away together to a special place where the sea is like warm silk and the fish jump out of the water and steal your sunglasses
we could go by boat - on the magnificent Dhow Jones. Her well worn timbers creak and moan when she is under way - its like she is talking to you or singing a wooden sea shanty
and then we could wish on stars!

I admire you for your writing dedication! The photographs are wonderful, I especially like the walkway into infinity... it's a terrific shot!
If this post is a sample of your writing odyssey, you're on a great course.
Lovely shots and captions. Your brief posts are as eloquent as your longer ones!
me again . . . just read the C.S. Lewis quote in your side bar as I was signing out. Wow - I love it!! Somehow I had never come across it and it really speaks to a certain period of my life. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing these wonderful shots. I have a special place in my heart for starfish and the sea. Love them all.
I'm so glad you're taking that leap! (my FB status earlier this week: It's never too late to shoot for the stars, regardless of who you are ~~~~ Nickelback ~~)
Of frogs ---- did you know most girls have to kiss way too many frogs before they find their prince???
xx
Ah great one! I love sunglass stealing fish. And well done you on more than 12,000 words! Woooohoooo!
hi Lizzy - thanks for the encouragement! that boardwalk is a favourite. this was taken at spring equinox when the tide was especially high.
Lakeviewer - thanks!
Bonnie - thank you and that quote is great isnt it? and so very true!
Lyn - then you would love mozambique. the star fish come in all variations of bright dayglo colours - and the sea is clear as jello - looks like you can walk on it
Janet - yes i saw that one - excellent. should write it on my screen :-)
its true about the frog thing :-) it can be fun though... this one is a cutie - can only be a prince
Miranda - yesterday was a wordathon of note! yeah those fish are cheeky, they dazzle you with their silver blingness and then bam! hehe
Hi Val! Great, I'm very impressed with the writing challenge you've taken up!! cool Dhow Jones, and stunning starfish...
Dear Val, I bow my head in admiration! And I LOVE your posts, your pictures and your words and your comments! I can sign each of the comments I read. I also LOVE the C.S.Lewis quote (love his books, too). This one is especially fitting to the Great Celebration that Germany is going to have tomorrow - the tumbling of the WALL. I`ll write my next post about it. Thank you so much for taking the time to write me such a lovely comment, too. And now run back and create more scenes and characters, and don`t forget to mention the jumping fish with newly stolen sunglasses on!

Yes,yes, nipping away! Froggy leap away and 'one star.. at a time'. Bravo, Val. Best of fun. I'm going to meander around here for awhile. xoxo.
A leap of faith. A leap of reason. Launched into the air, the uncertain balance makes for a dizzying feel, at once thrilling and satisfying.
So, good luck.

I'm just catching up on your wonderful postings and photos. Congratulations to you!
I love this one and the other story about the dog who was so loyal to his human friend...Sometimes I think humans could take a lesson or two from the animals.
Happy Blogging!
